Share Your Passion for Adventure at 1st Clifton Sea Scouts

Do you love being on the water? Have you ever thought about helping young people experience the excitement of kayaking, canoeing, sailing, paddleboarding, pulling, or powerboating?

At 1st Clifton Sea Scouts, we are looking for enthusiastic adults to join our team of activity and water skills instructors. Whether you already have experience or simply a passion and desire to learn, we can help you become a qualified instructor and inspire the next generation of adventurers.

Our water activities are some of the most exciting experiences we offer — but they can only happen because of dedicated volunteers who are willing to share their time, skills, and enthusiasm. Without instructors and activity volunteers, many of these incredible opportunities simply would not be possible.

The good news is that you do not need to arrive fully qualified. Full training, mentoring, and support are available to help volunteers develop recognised skills and qualifications in a wide range of adventurous activities. You’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced leaders and instructors within the group.

Volunteering as a skills instructor is an opportunity to:

  • Develop new qualifications and practical skills
  • Spend more time on the water and outdoors
  • Build confidence and leadership experience
  • Become part of a supportive and adventurous community
  • Help young people discover confidence, resilience, and a love for adventure

Whether you’re an experienced paddler, sailor, boater, or complete beginner eager to get involved, there is a place for you on the team.

Join us, grow your own skills, and help create unforgettable adventures for young people across Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers.
