The Annual Chess Competition between members of Minster, Ebor and Selby Districts and Guides from North Yorkshire South took place in March.
1st Clifton were represented by several Cubs and Scouts. Whilst not being amongst the overall winners, we congratulate our young people on taking part, on their enthusiasm and great behaviour and for trying their very best. Well done!
It was tense and exciting at the scout hut for our Winter Olympigs tonight!

Sharks Beavers will meet for their Christmas party on Tuesday 19th December, all other sections are now closed for this term.

Ronnie the reindeer has counted up all the pennies and he’s amazed and delighted to announce that our Christmas Fair raised a whopping £1375!!
It was a tremendous day and we are so grateful to everyone who helped in any way to make this happen and support us. Whether it was organising, donating goods, setting up, manning a stall or simply turning up and spending – thank you all so much.
Our little scout hut was full to bursting, the queue for santa lastest all afternoon, Kenny’s live music was awesome and we reaffirmed that community spirit is alive and well in Clifton and in our scout group. Thank you all.
Congratulations to Pacific Cubs who recently won the District round of the 2017 Cub County Quiz.
This is the second year in a row that the pack have gained a place in the County final and we wish them the best of luck when they travel to Thirsk to take part on 19th November.
